Welcome to the University of Sydney Academic Promotions online application system.

Intending applicants are advised to consult with their Head of School, relevant Associate Dean or supervisor as early as possible before preparing their application. It is essential to refer to the Academic Promotions Information, which sets out the policy and application requirements.

The online system for applicants

The process for applying for an academic promotion is now fully online via confidential web pages. The system streamlines the submission of applicant information and replaces the need for applicants to submit multiple paper copies of their application to the Academic Promotions Unit. Applicants can build and save their application online prior to submission. Online help is available by selecting the red 'Help' tab located at the top right of this page. Online help is also available once you have logged in and can be accessed at each menu item by clicking the red 'Help' tab at the top right of the page. Please refer to important dates for applicants, for submission deadlines.

The online system for Heads of School and Faculty nominees for this role

The Head of School or Faculty nominee for this role (in faculties where there is no formal head) is required to submit a report (Levels B - D) and verify the Teaching and Research Student Supervision Activities (TRSA) data submitted by applicants (all Levels). An email request will be sent to Heads of School and Faculty nominees inviting them to log onto specific pages within the online system to submit their report and verify the TRSA data. They may also login to the system (using their Unikey login details) to view a "to do list" outlining tasks awaiting their action.

Starting and building your application

Please go to the login page (see link on the left) or click on the button below, and enter your Unikey details (user ID and password). You can start building and saving completed sections of your application. You can then return at any time to continue working on it.

To log out, click the Logout link in the top right hand section of the page.

To return to your application at any time prior to submission, simply go to the welcome page and log in again.
